After you book your trip there are a few things you will need to do
Fishing LICENSE
You will need to get a fishing license for anywhere you will be fishing. Before you buy one make sure you know if you are fishing in New Mexico or Colorado.
If you are fishing in N.N. you can get one at the Department of Game and Fish website here -
https://onlinesales.wildlife.state.nm.us.
You can also purchase one by calling (888)-248-6866.
Once you get your license you can save it on your phone or print it out. It is important that you purchase the Habitat Management and Access Validation as well as the Habitat Stamp along with your fishing license.
If you are fishing in Colorado, go to the Colorado Parks and Wildlife website -
http://cpw.state.co.us/buyapply/Pages/Fishing.aspx
You can also call Colorado Parks and Wildlife at (800)-244-5613.
Once you get your license you can save it on your phone or print it out. You will need to purchase the Habitat Management Stamp along with your license.
What to Bring
I try my best to provide everything you will need and make it possible to show up in your underwear and still have a fun day. However there are a few things that will make your day more comfortable and enjoyable:
Fishing License
Polarized Sun Glasses (any sunglasses are better than none)
Sweatshirt or jacket
Rain jacket
Hat
Backpack
The sun can be intense in this region so long sleeves and lightweight pants are a good idea. In the warmer months wet wading is often preferable. I like to carry an extra dry pair of pants or shorts and some flip flops or sandals for the ride home.
Tipping
If you had a fun day and are satisfied with your experience it is customary to tip. I will use it to help offset the cost incurred for the day including - custom tied flies, fuel, food for lunches, leaders and tippet and an extreme fishing addiction. Tipping is totally discretionary but a good basis is about 15-30% of the cost of the trip. Tipping is never a requirement especially if you were unsatisfied. Please let me know what the issue is and I will do everything I can to remedy the situation. If your trip was amazing and you would like to tip more I will be extremely grateful.
Cancellation Policy
I understand things may arise that cause you to cancel your trip. Because it is often difficult to fill a trip that was cancelled with short notice, I need 7 days of advanced notice in order to have a chance of filling that day with another client. If you have to cancel inside of the 7 day period before your trip I will charge the cost of the trip to the card you used to reserve your trip.
